Rhayader 5km Road Race Series 2018
This is a friendly 3 race series which starts near Caban Coch Reservoir Dam, Elan Valley, Rhayader.
2018 ResultsRace 1 5k Results / Children's Results Race 2 5k Results / Children's Results Race 3 5k Results / Children's Results Series WinnersMid Wales Summer 5k ChampionshipsOur 5k series will now be part of the Mid Wales Summer 5k Championships with Maldwyn Harriers in Newtown!All individuals will be automatically entered but will need to have done at least 3/5 races and must include at least 1 race in Newtown. The dates of these races are as follows: 30th March - Chocoholics 5k in Newtown 9th May - Elan Valley 5k in Rhayader 23rd May - Elan Valley 5k in Rhayader 6th June - Elan Valley 5k in Rhayader 6th July - BBQ 5k in Newtown The presentation will take place on the 6th July after the race and medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Rhayader 5km Road Race Series 2017 This is a friendly 3 race series held on Wednesdays at the Caban Coch Reservoir Dam, Near Rhayader. Runners of all levels are welcome and refreshment and results along tea, coffee and cake are available at Rhayader Leisure Centre after each race. Entries on race day only, from 6:30pm. 5K Age limit 14 and above. 5K race starts at 7:30pm Attached: £6 or £12 for all three races. Unattached: £8 or £18 for all three races (prices may change) There is a 1 mile road race for school year 3 Children's Race starts at 7pm. £1 Race 1: Wednesday 10th May 2017, 5k Results / Children's Results Race 2: Wednesday 24th May 2017, 5k Results / Children's Results Race 3: Wednesday 7th June 2017, 5k Results / Children's Results Prizes Each race will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for both Male and Female Series winner for each category and spot prize for adults per race. Prize money 1st £10.00, 2nd £7.00, 3rd £5.00 and a bottle of wine for each. Children's prize money 1st £7.00, 2nd £5.00, 3rd £3.00. Children's series winner in each category will win an engraved trophy donated by Suzanne Kendrick. Please arrive in plenty of time and please avoid parking near the start and finish line, thank you |
