Rhayader Rant, Sunday 20th February 2011

A small but enthusiastic group of 30 runners tackled this challenging and scenic 8 mile fell run this year.

The cloud was down to 400m and runners were soon appearing out of the mist on the mountain road before tackling the second climb up to Cefyn Rhydolog.

Route finding was fairly challenging along the tops before dropping back below the cloud line to descend from Y Gurn taking in views of the Elan Valley.

A big thank you to all Marshals and runners on the day and we look forward to seeing you all back next year.

Details of Race

Start at 11am from Cwmdeuddwr Hall, Rhayader.

The course will take in an 8mile run over open fells on a circular route from Rhayader over the Elan Valley moors.

Registration is at Cwmdeyddr Hall (gr 968678) from 9.30 with entries of £5 on the day only.
