Rhayader Carnival Annual Hill Race 2013

The Rhayader Carnival Annual Hill Race will be held on Tuesday 16th July 2013 starting at Rhayader Clock Tower at 7:30pm for Juniors and 7:40pm Seniors..

All competitors 9 years and over on the the day of event, Juniors 9-15 years. seniors 16 and over.

Entries taken from 6:30pm at the Lamb and Flag Inn.

Juniors £1.00 Seniors £2.50

Trophies presented at the Lamb and Flag Inn, with the "Amie Smith Prepetual Memorial Trophy" to the first Local Lady

This years event will be the 33rd running of the Hill Race, with the running of the event back in 1981. The race will be held over the same course for the 6th consecutive year and will cover a distance of 4KM (3.72 Miles). It will be well signposted and have marshalls and water stops at various point in the race.

Rhayader Carnival Annual Hill Race 2009

The Rhayader Carnival Annual Hill Race was held on Tuesday 14th July 2009 at 7:30pm, organised by the Rhayader Carnival and the Lamb and Flag. There was a storm with heavy rain an hour before the race. This did not dampon the spirits of over 100 competitors of all ages and abilities and the race was again a very successful part of Rhayder carnival week. A big thank you to the Lamb and Flag and all marshalls and we look forward to seeing everybody back for next years event.
