I know it seems ages until October, but I thought I would give you the details now so we can get the dates in our diaries and start booking race entries and start organising flights and hotels.

We had a look at events with races over different distances with easy access by plane and not too dear! Of the events we have not done before there was basically a choice of two Munich or Lausanne. However, Switzerland is very expensive so we have plumped for Munich on Sunday 14 October 2012.

Marathon

Half marathon

Relay, run on the actual marathon course with the marathon runners - legs of 6.8k/14.3k/10.5k/10.6k

Cheaper entry fees if registered before 31 March 2012

 

Flights:-

London  - Lufthansa, BA, easy jet

Manchester - Lufthansa, easy jet

Birmingham - Lufthansa, BMI

 

Hotel:-

There is a special offer via the marathon website. If we get more than 10 people staying there is a special rate of 122 Euros (£101) for a double room including breakfast.

There are numerous cheap and cheerful hotels however available at Laterooms.com. One good deal that sticks out is the Best Western 4* at £76 per double room per night, not including breakfast.
